Tokyo's popular Mr Cheesecake will making its Singapore debut with a pop-up at Ion Orchard from Nov 11 to Dec 30.
Founded in 2018 by Japanese chef Koji Tamura, Mr Cheesecake first gained popularity through social media, with its bakes selling out minutes after launch. It has since sold over a million whole cakes in Japan.
The bakery currently operates five permanent outlets in Japan, as well as its first overseas outpost in Hong Kong, which opened last November.
The pop-up in Singapore marks the brand's first foray into Southeast Asia.
Before establishing Mr Cheesecake, chef Koji Tamura worked at several acclaimed restaurants, including the three Michelin-starred Mirazur in France and the now-shuttered one-Michelin starred Tirpse in Tokyo.
At the Singapore pop-up, fans can expect six flavours of cheesecakes.
These include a limited Basque Cheesecake Original ($62) made with browned butter, vanilla and brown sugar for a rich, caramelised flavour.

There's also the Mr Cheesecake Matcha ($69) featuring Yame matcha from Fukuoka, as well the Mr Cheesecake Caramel Earl Grey ($68), which combines the tea flavour with vanilla-infused cream, mascarpone and orange juice for a sweet, gently bitter and refreshing taste.
Coffee lovers can opt for the Mr Cheesecake Cream Brew Coffee ($68), made using coffee beans steeped overnight in chilled fresh cream.
Another option is the Rich Tiramisu ($69), Mr Cheesecake's take on the Italian dessert combining the flavours of hojicha, cacao and coffee.
Rounding off the selections is the Mr Cheesecake Sakekasu Coconut ($69) with sake lees, coconut and lychee puree.

According to Mr Cheesecake, the curated flavours were previously available in its Japan and Hong Kong outlets, and were chosen for the Singapore pop-up to offer local customers a "distinctive introduction to the breadth of the brand's culinary craftsmanship".
Beyond the various flavours, the brand's cheesecakes can also be enjoyed at different temperatures — with each offering a different experience.
Fans can have them straight out of the freezer for a ice cream cake-like consistency, while those who prefer different textures can thaw them for an hour to 1.5 hours for a contrast between the frozen centre and smooth outer layer.
When fully thawed, the cheesecakes take on a smooth texture similar to creme brulee. This is also the brand's recommended way of enjoy the cheesecakes for optimal sweetness and aroma.
For Mr Cheesecake's founder, the different temperatures are part of what makes the cheesecakes special.
"I hope the first thing people feel is that it is simply delicious. After that, I would like them to notice the details, such as the aroma, the balance of flavours, and how the texture changes depending on the temperature," shared the chef.
"The same cheesecake can give you a different experience when it is frozen, half-thawed or fully thawed, so I hope everyone finds the way they enjoy it most."
