Football star Erling Haaland's face found on cocaine bricks seized by Ecuador police

Norwegian football star Erling Haaland's face has turned up in an unexpected place: on bricks of cocaine seized by police in Ecuador.

Authorities recently confiscated 469.6 kilograms of cocaine packed into 370 parcels hidden in a truck, the Associated Press reported.

Photos released by Ecuador police showed several of the green-wrapped packages bearing stickers featuring Haaland's name and image.

A video provided by Ecuador police also showed officers extracting the packages from the truck's false bottom.

The police did not explain why Haaland's face appeared on the packaging.

The truck driver and another woman have been arrested in connection with the case, according to Associated Press.
