[UPDATE: Oct 19]

A spokesperson told AsiaOne in a statement received at 6.50pm that all YouTrip functions are "fully back up and operating as normal".

Asked what had caused the recent disruption, the spokesperson said it was due to a technical issue in a third-party system.

"Following the resolution of the issue, our immediate priority remains the active monitoring of the vendor’s system stability to ensure reliable operations moving forward."

The company also thanked its user community for their patience and understanding.

It reassured its users that all funds and accounts remain "completely safe".

Multi-currency mobile wallet YouTrip, which reported a "major outage" affecting most of its services earlier on Monday (Oct 19), has since restored most of its services.

Checks by AsiaOne on YouTrip's service status page at 4.30pm shows 20 out of its 23 services in Singapore listed as "operational", while three services — card transactions, payment authentication and ATM withdrawal are listed as "degraded".

Meanwhile, in Thailand, the same three services are listed as degraded..

Users in the two countries earlier took to social media to share that they experienced technical difficulties while performing some of its services.

In response to two users on its Facebook page, YouTrip acknowledged that it is experiencing technical difficulties.

Customers may find "service degradation" in using the card for payments and others services, including ATM withdrawals, it said, seeking the understanding of its users and directed them to keep track of the ongoing service recovery process via its status page.

At its peak, 19 of its 23 services in Singapore were affected, while 11 of its 14 services in Thailand were disrupted.

AsiaOne has contacted YouTrip for more information on what caused the service outage.
