PUBLISHED ONOctober 17, 2026 4:37 AMUPDATEDOctober 18, 2026 2:46 AMBYSean LerTravellers who are intending to head across the Causeway should note that there is currently heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint.
In a social media post at around 11.30am, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said this is due to tailback from Malaysia.
Checks on the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) traffic cameras at 12.20pm show that traffic tailback is around the midpoint mark of the Causeway.
Traffic congestion is also seen around the Woodlands Crossing area, extending to Woodlands Flyover.

ICA advised travellers to expect delays and to check traffic conditions before embarking on their journey.
The heavy departure traffic subsided at about 4.30pm.
Motorists are also reminded to abide by traffic laws and comply with ICA officers' instructions at Singapore's land checkpoints.
During the September school holidays, a total of 27 motorists were caught for various traffic offences at Woodlands Checkpoint.
Of these, 16 individuals were referred to the Traffic Police for further action.
According to ICA, offences committed at the departure lanes included crossing double white lines, making illegal right turns, stopping in positions likely to cause danger, obstruction or undue inconvenience, and queue cutting.
