Bus in Hougang brakes to avoid accident, 3 passengers injured

Photos of the incident shared to the Singapura Channel on Facebook showed scenes of the aftermath, in which the bus was stalled on the road in front of a bus stop.
An ambulance is seen parked directly behind the bus, while paramedics are also spotted on the bus tending to passengers.
A large group of passersby are also seen gathered on the walkway.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the incident occurred on Aug 2 at around 8.50am along Hougang Avenue 4.
A spokesperson for SBS Transit told Chinese publication 8World that the accident occurred after a car coming from the opposite direction swerved into the bus lane.
The bus involved, Service 329, was intending to turn right at the intersection of Hougang Avenue 9 and Hougang Avenue 4 but braked abruptly to avoid an accident.
Three passengers were injured as a result, though two declined to be taken to the hospital, said the spokesperson.
According to SCDF, one person was taken to Sengkang General Hospital.
