A 62-year-old man was found dead at the foot of a HDB block in Toa Payoh on Monday (Aug 31) afternoon.

The incident happened at about 2.05pm at Block 205 Toa Payoh North, which is in the vicinity of Braddell MRT station.

A photograph of the scene shown to AsiaOne shows a blue police tent placed over the body beneath a stack of flats near a games court.

The police also set up a cordon on the ground floor area.

In response to media queries, the police stated that they do not suspect any foul play based on preliminary investigations.

They added that the man was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic.

Police investigations are ongoing.

On the same afternoon, police and SCDF officers responded to an incident involving two teenage girls found sitting on a seventh-floor ledge at Block 130 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

The duo were brought to safety and taken to hospital.
