OBU alerts to show parking enforcement camera zones at 8 locations: LTA

This is part of a trial to remind motorists to park responsibly and may be expanded to more locations in future, the authority said.

According to LTA, the alerts are proximity-based reminders and will not result in enforcement notices being issued.
Meanwhile, updates to two existing alerts are also underway, the authority said.

These include indicating speed limits on current OBU alerts to remind motorists to slow down at Silver Zones, Friendly Streets and School Zones.
In these places, the speed limit of 40kmh will be indicated along with the current reminder to "slow down" or "drive carefully".
Another planned upgrade is the display of bus lane operation time in OBU alerts.
These will be progressively rolled out in the coming months, LTA added.
