At just 22, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) student Rayyan Afiq, better known as Rayyan Roulette, already owns a Mercedes-Benz as his first car.

The makeup influencer, who is active on TikTok and Instagram, previously studied Mass Communication at Ngee Ann Polytechnic before pursuing a business degree at NTU.

In a recent episode of Booty Call, hosted by Class 95 DJs The Muttons, Rayyan was asked how someone his age could afford a Mercedes-Benz i, 8days reported on Wednesday (Nov 4).

"Wah! I think it's because I started being on social media when I was really young. Throughout my journey, I also started a few companies that thankfully were profitable," he explained.

Checks by AsiaOne online showed that Rayyan is a co-founder of AIKO Collective, which provides social media marketing, content creation, public relations and talent management services.

However, not all his business ventures were successful.

"I only talk about the businesses that were successful, but I started so many that failed as well," he shared.

He also credited his mother for encouraging him to explore entrepreneurship while young, recalling her advice to try different things until finding something that works.

When it came to choosing his first car, Rayyan revealed that his father had influenced his decision to get a Mercedes-Benz.

He said his father advised him that once he drove a continental car — a term commonly used in Singapore to refer to European car brands — he would not want to go back.

While the exact model of Rayyan's Mercedes-Benz is unclear, 8days noted that a brand-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon can cost up to $220,000, excluding COE, according to SGcarmart.

He had obtained his driving licence just a month before showing off his car, according to 8days.

AsiaOne has reached out to Rayyan for more information.
