Man, 61, jumps out of ambulance and gets hit by bus on SLE; arrested for rash act

The man was allegedly seen jumping off a private ambulance before being struck by a vehicle along the SLE.

PUBLISHED ONJune 16, 2026 9:19 AMUPDATEDJune 16, 2026 12:42 PMBYEriko LimA 61-year-old man jumped out of a private ambulance along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and was hit by a bus on Monday (June 15) afternoon.
AsiaOne understands the ambulance was stopped on the road shoulder when the incident happened.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence said they received a call for assistance at about 2.40pm along the SLE towards the Central Expressway after the Lentor Avenue exit.
The man was arrested for committing a rash act and taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
