Motorcyclist thrown to ground after Loyang crash; female driver assisting with police investigations


A 60-year-old motorcyclist was thrown to the ground after his motorcycle was hit by a car at a junction in Loyang on Monday (Aug 31).
In a dashcam video posted by SG Road Vigilante on Facebook on Monday, the motorcyclist can be seen moving through a green light before being struck by a white sedan in the middle of the junction.

The impact sent the motorcyclist tumbling onto the road.
When contacted by AsiaOne, police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction at about 2.20pm on August 31.
The accident occurred at the junction of Loyang Avenue and New Loyang Link.
The 60-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to hospital while conscious. The 67-year-old female car driver is assisting with police investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
