Longbridge Group and Cyberport announce strategic partnership to advance responsible agentic AI innovation in Hong Kong

SINGAPORE and HONG KONG, Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Longbridge Group ("Longbridge"), an AI-native financial technology company, today announced that its AI arm, Longbridge AI Technologies Limited ("Longbridge AI"), has signed a three-year strategic partnership with Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited ("Cyberport") to advance the responsible development and adoption of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) in Hong Kong.

The strategic partnership establishes a framework for collaboration across AI research, industry engagement, talent development and innovation. Central to the partnership is Longbridge's Hong Kong AI Lab, which aims to bring together financial institutions, technology companies, academic institutions and start-ups to explore practical applications of AI.

As AI moves from providing insights to supporting complex financial decisions, it brings new opportunities and important questions around transparency and accountability. Longbridge believes that closer collaboration between fintech and research communities will foster greater innovation, growth, and mutual trust in AI-enabled financial solutions.

Through this collaboration, Longbridge AI will contribute its fintech expertise, AI capabilities and practical industry experience, while Cyberport will facilitate connections with its technology and innovation ecosystem. Together, the organisations aim to bridge research and real-world applications, while supporting Hong Kong's development as an international financial centre and AI innovation hub.

"Agentic AI has the potential to fundamentally change how people interact with financial information. But realising this potential requires more than technological capability. It requires trust, accountability and close collaboration across the financial ecosystem," said Nowa Zhu, Co-founder and CEO of Longbridge.

"At Longbridge, we believe the next phase of fintech innovation will be shaped by how effectively AI can combine technological intelligence with financial expertise and responsible oversight. Through our collaboration with Cyberport and the establishment of our Hong Kong AI Lab, we hope to bring together industry expertise, research talent and technology innovation to explore practical applications of agentic AI. We see Hong Kong as an important market for advancing these conversations and helping shape the responsible adoption of AI in Hong Kong," Nowa added.

Under the strategic partnership, Longbridge AI and Cyberport will explore collaboration across four key areas:

• Responsible AI research and innovation: Advancing research, thought leadership and practical applications of agentic AI in Hong Kong
• Hong Kong AI Lab: Establishing a collaborative platform for research, experimentation, knowledge exchange and the exploration of AI applications
• Industry engagement and knowledge-sharing: Bringing together financial institutions, technology companies, academics and industry stakeholders through roundtables, seminars, research publications and other initiatives to encourage dialogue on responsible AI adoption.
• Talent and ecosystem development: Exploring hackathons, workshops, mentorship programmes, and opportunities for start-ups and research institutions to participate in AI innovation.

Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport, said, "AI is gradually reshaping the way financial services innovate, with Agentic AI offering significant potential for the industry. Cyberport is delighted to establish a strategic partnership with Longbridge AI Technologies Hong Kong Limited to jointly advance the responsible development and adoption of AI in financial services. Through the establishment of the AI Lab, we look forward to further fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among financial institutions, technology companies, start-ups and academia, while facilitating the testing, validation and real-world deployment of innovative solutions. Together, we aim to seize the opportunities presented by AI-driven financial innovation and contribute to the continued development of Hong Kong's fintech ecosystem."

The partnership will also explore opportunities to translate research and technical developments into practical applications and proof-of-concept initiatives, while encouraging broader industry dialogue on the opportunities, challenges and safeguards associated with agentic AI in finance.

The collaboration forms part of Longbridge's broader commitment to advancing AI-enabled financial innovation. By connecting its technology capabilities with Hong Kong's wider innovation ecosystem, Longbridge aims to contribute to the responsible development of AI and support the city's continued growth as a global financial and technology hub.
