AsiaOne has tracked every movement since and had previously reported that major fuel companies were observed to have raised prices every alternate week amid global oil supply volatility and rising crude oil prices.
But Caltex's move on Wednesday (Oct 21) is the first instance of fuel hikes in consecutive weeks since September, and its latest after its last round of price adjustments on Oct 12.
In a price board update published at 2pm, Chevron-owned Caltex announced a three-cent increase across its 92-, 95-octane and premium petrol offerings, while keeping its diesel price unchanged.
As at 8.30pm, no other major fuel companies here have yet to join in the latest round of hikes.
Following the latest round of posted adjustments, the price of the more popular 95-octane petrol at major fuel companies here now ranges from $3.56 at SPC to $3.60 at Caltex.
Meanwhile, Cnergy and Smart Energy are still offering the petrol grade at $2.69 and $2.62 respectively.

Oil prices edged higher on Wednesday on Middle East supply concerns, with traders wary of Red Sea shipping risks and threats to oil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
Brent crude futures rose 85 cents, or 0.78 per cent, to US$109.64 per barrel in the morning. It later eased to US$108.94 at 8.30pm.
On Tuesday, a supertanker caught fire after striking a sea mine south of the Strait of Hormuz while "violating" Iranian regulations, Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy said.
According to shiptracker Kpler's note on Monday, at least 18 vessel attacks have been reported over two weeks.
"Attacks on tankers have expanded beyond the Strait of Hormuz," LSEG analysts said in a note.
"Iran has been targeting vessels as far south as the Gulf of Oman, threatening loadings outside of the Arab Gulf, as well as the ship-to-ship transfers that have helped to support Middle East loadings as the conflict has dragged on."
