SIA claims Best Airline in the World title at Business Traveller’s flagship awards

Singapore's national carrier has added another award to add to its long list of accolades — the Best Airline in the World.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) received the title at the 2026 Business Traveller Global Awards, held in Singapore for the first time on Wednesday (Oct 21).

In addition, it also received the Best Business Class in the World and Best Cabin Crew in the World accolades, and was named Best Asia-Pacific Airline for the 35th consecutive year.

The awards are voted for by Business Traveller's readership of frequent travellers and overseen by an international team of travel experts.

"We are very grateful to our customers for their strong support and confidence, as well as to our talented people across the SIA Group for their dedication and professionalism," said Goh Choon Phong, CEO of SIA.

"SIA is committed to continuously investing in our products and services, and delivering a world-class end-to-end travel customer experience."

The recognition from Business Traveller comes shortly after SIA was named the World's Best Airline at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards in September, the sixth time it has received the accolade.

SIA also received awards for Best Airline in Asia, World's Best Economy Class, and World's Best Economy Class Onboard Catering from Skytrax.

The awards come ahead of SIA's unveiling of its refreshed in-flight travel experience in Singapore in November.

In recent months, SIA has also announced a renewed in-flight dining menus and new in-flight amenities.
