Looking for a cruise holiday packed to the brim with activities? Look no further.

Known for its breadth of things to do on board is Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas, which arrived in Singapore on Thursday (Oct 29) for a year-long deployment, the cruise operator announced.

The 3,368-guest capacity cruise ship was previously in Singapore for a six-month seasonal deployment but will now homeport here for the first time.

From now till October 2027, the Navigator will be going on two- to five-night getaways to destinations in Malaysia such as Penang and Langkawi, as well as to Phuket in Thailand.

There are also longer 10-night voyages to Thailand and Vietnam, with stops in cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Bangkok.

Its longest sailing will be a 12-night journey between Singapore and Tokyo that includes calls at destinations in Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.

Aboard the Navigator, highlights include The Blaster, the longest waterslide at sea measuring over 245m, as well as Riptide, a mat racer where you go headfirst down a tube.

Families with younger children can check out the Splashaway Bay aquapark, play glow-in-the-dark laser tag at Battle for Planet Z or solve puzzles together at Royal Escape Room: The Observatorium.

Food wise, both casual eats and specialty restaurants are available, from Japanese-inspired cuisine at Izumi and Italian classics at Jamie's Italian, to seafood feasts at Hooked Seafood and Mexican favourites at El Loco Fresh.

For entertainment, the Royal Theater offers stage performances while The Bamboo Room is the place to be for live music and cocktails.

There are a host of other amenities on board, including an arcade, spa, gym, jogging track and ice-skating rink, to name a few.

"Navigator of the Seas' arrival in Singapore marks a game-changing moment for Royal Caribbean, making it easier for vacationers to discover more of Asia from one convenient homeport," said Ben Bouldin, president of Greater China and managing director Asia at Royal Caribbean.

"With a range of short getaways and longer journeys to destinations across the region, Navigator gives vacationers greater flexibility in how they experience Asia."
