Taiwanese singer Jay Chou took to social media on Oct 29 to share an encounter he had with some locals in Australia.
The 47-year-old held a concert in Melbourne on Oct 17.
"Today, I was sitting by an outdoor tennis court when a few cute little Aussie kids, probably six or seven, in their school uniforms started whispering, 'Jay Chou?'" recounted the father of three.
"I looked at them curiously, and they asked, 'Did you play in the 1 Point Slam at the Australian Open?'"
The tennis enthusiast added a laughing emoji, and for those who didn't see the competition in January this year, Jay was up against amateur Petar Jovic and had promised to donate the A$1 million (S$900,000) prize money to charity if he won.
However, he lasted only one second on the court as he missed Jovic's opening serve.

Jay may or may not have jinxed himself as before the competition, he had remarked: "If I can choose, I would like to serve, so at least I get to hit… It might be over before I even make contact."
His friend, Taiwanese-American former basketball player Jeremy Lin, had teased him afterwards.
"I taught this tennis student for one month. Very hardworking, very serious. He finally got a chance to show off his skills. The ball was served to him and he didn't even move. He didn't return the ball. Save me," said the former NBA star grimly in a video posted on Instagram Story.
In his recent post, Jay said after he took a few photos with the Australian kids, he wondered: "Did they even know I'm actually a singer?"

Jeremy, 38, teased him again in the comments section.
"Who would want to take a picture with you after seeing your Australian Open performance?" he wrote, to which Jay replied with more laughing emojis: "Naughty."
Jay is married to Taiwanese-Australian actress Hannah Quinlivan, 33, and they have three children: Hathaway, 11, Romeo, nine, and Jacinda, four.
The family followed Jay to Melbourne and it seems they stayed on for leisure after the concert.
In a post on Oct 24, Jay said he took the youngest to the beach, where they passed by a flower shop.
"She wanted to get flowers for her mum. Turns out my little one is more romantic than me!" he said.

Jay has another concert in Australia on Nov 21 at Engie Stadium in Sydney.
He'll be taking the Carnival II world tour to China in December for his Guangzhou and Sanya shows before his Singapore stops from Jan 8 to 10 at National Stadium.
