Boys in disbelief as they open Pokemon pack, get rare card

For these boys, Christmas came early.

Four boys shared a heartwarming and hype moment after they opened a pack of Pokemon cards, getting a rare one worth a couple of hundred dollars, according to a TikTok video by CC Collectibles on Thursday (Oct 22).

In the video, four boys can be seen buying a Pokemon Pitch Black Booster Pack from the Clementi hobby shop, priced at $6.90.

After buying the pack, the squad sits around a wooden table in the shop as one of them gingerly opens the pack.

"The boy seemed to know he was going to get something," the video caption reads as the boy slowly reveals each card in the pack from the top, placing each fresh card on the table in front of him.

Around him, his friends lean in, staring in anticipation as the collection of cards in his hand gets thinner.

Abruptly, the kids shout in excitment as they flip open their chase card — a Mega Darkrai ex.

In absolute disbelief, one of the children accidentally knocks over the chair he was sitting on as he stands up, clutching his hair.

The boy who revealed the card immediately rushes over to the store owner, who quietly helps them place the precious card in a sleeve.

"I got it, I got the Darkrai!" the boy repeatedly shouts.

Onlookers around the group of boys — although initially shocked by the screams of excitement — eventually realise what had happened and break into smiles.

In comments, a user shared in the boys' excitement, asking where the hobby shop is located, perhaps hoping to share in their luck as well.

A comment also highlighted the shopkeeper's nonchalant attitude, which some attributed to her simply being used to people opening such incredible cards in her store.

"He's going to be chasing that high till National Service," another user jokingly said.
