A Grab driver in Bali was all smiles as he filmed himself unwrapping and enjoying a smash burger — a meal he would not have been able to afford but for a customer's tip.

"Thank you so much for Ava and your boyfriend [sic]," the visibly delighted man tells the camera. "Wow. We can try smash burger."

The heartwarming moment was shared by TikTok user _avagannon, or Ava, who wrote in a post on July 31 that a tip can be "life changing" and make a difference to someone.

"All my Grab driver wanted was to try smash burger but with what he earns, it's not an easy purchase to justify which really puts a lot into perspective," she captioned her post.

A smash burger typically refers to when a patty is pressed thinly against a grill, giving the meat a crispy crust and richer flavour.

As the Grab driver himself excitedly remarked in the video, even before tasting the food, "this is the best burger (of) my life".

Upon taking his first bite, the man is seen playfully hitting his forehead and shimmying in his seat.

"Because (of) your tip, I have smash burger," he says at the end of the video.

His spontaneous reaction has since attracted over 773,000 views and 133,000 likes from netizens, who shared in his bliss.

"Him unboxing his burger on video to show you and thank you is quite frankly the most sweetest thing ever," a user commented.

"This is so pure, this food is definitely not affordable for the locals so this is a proper treat. Made my day and also inspired me to do the same thing," added another.

A TikTok user, who said they are Indonesian, also urged netizens to tip delivery drivers.

"They work in the sun, rain, sick, healthy, pls tip them!! I always tip them at least 2,000 IDR (14 Singapore cents) and they are super duper grateful!"

A netizen also added that their Indonesian boyfriend "works 12-hour shifts for only 70,000 IDR".

"Perspective is so real, I wish everyone tips their server, waitress, driver etc."
